We'll build Cambridge beautiful, they said .... Meanwhile, here's what gets built.... It deteriorated quickly and has never been 'repaired' - the Kings Hedges Rd frontage of Orchard Park. Not sure if this was Persimmon or Barrett, though am sure quality of both is dismal.

A bit of rain didn’t stop people turning out in numbers to ask why Mill Rd has not been improved yet with the bus gate they have asked for

In adapting to climate change we have the opportunity to recover a lot of our urban development heritage and reincorporate the common sense solutions that were discarded when we switched to planning monumental cities around cars instead of people. Good morning.

With careful planning Mill Road could become a real destination in the city. Bringing more customers from the city centre and creating a real buzz for the area and all the local businesses.

👇 Not only the right thing to do to combat all major crises we face, the majority of people want to be able to drive less and will vote accordingly....

Fascinating analysis of the recent election results for wards with highly contested cycle schemes tells you exactly the same as every professional opinion poll for the last year. People like them. Opposing them is a vote-loser. theguardian.com/environment/bi…

Increasing tree cover in urban areas can radically reduce temperatures on hot days. One study in Manchester found that shade from street trees reduced surface temperatures by an average of 12°C; concrete surfaces shaded permanently by a bank of trees were cooled by up to 20°C.
