I'm excited to share our latest work from the @VMurthyLab with @gautamnallamala Massimo Vergassola and @UtopianCynic, out today in @NatureComms. A short thread to follow... nature.com/articles/s4146…
I'll be defending my PhD this Friday afternoon (talk title: Functional development of adult-born neurons in the olfactory bulb)! Message me if you'd like the link to join - I am looking forward to having many more people come virtually than would have been able to attend irl =)
Excited to share the second paper from my PhD with @UtopianCynic and @stevens1lab published in eLife today: elifesciences.org/articles/50531 (previously posted on bioRxiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…) where we show that depleting microglia disrupts the development of adult-born neurons!
Join us as @Harvard scientists @DulacLab & @UtopianCynic engage with olfactive expert Dawn Goldworm (President & Chief Creative @1229journal) to discuss how neurobiological research on #olfaction relates to our everyday experiences. @HarvardMuseums bit.ly/2Sd4Fkt

Seven MCB postdocs have recently garnered fellowships that will enable research into the brain, behavior, and genetics. Two of the postdocs obtained fellowships from the NIH. Bushra Raj […]
Posting a preprint on @biorxivpreprint got us excellent feedback from students!
Shoutout to the students at BU who posted comments on my biorxiv paper with @UtopianCynic and @stevens1lab as part of a class assignment! We took their comments into account during the revision process and have now posted a new version biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Sharing my latest work with @UtopianCynic, Gautam Reddy, and Massimo Vergassola. Building on our prior theoretical work, we now measure antagonism in individual sensory neurons in live mice. Even within the constraints of natural sniff dynamics antagonism is remarkably prevalent!
Antagonistic odor interactions in olfactory sensory neurons are widespread in freely breathing mice biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh… #biorxiv_neursci
