Finally bought the components, the store was packed full, and the radio waves were blasting with bargaining and debating.
After a long wait in line we receive our salary. I walk to the mechanic and electrical parts store.
On break, Magenge fungus is growing around the mess hall, and we take our share. I'm thinking of the freighter and new components.
Today is the day that many work a little more enthusiastically. Thinking about what we are going to with our credits.
After a quick breakfast of Magenge fungus, it is time to head off to work. It is salary day and I need to buy some new engine components.
After a goodnight's rest, I wake up to head to the refresher. Feeling exhausted still from pulling a long night at the garage.
It is a beautiful sight looking up into the night sky. The many different stars, it gives me resolve to finish the freighter.
I finish for the night, I head out of the garage, and head towards home. The night is cold but I don't mind. It is my favorite time.
The engines and hyperdrive were busted in a firefight with a rival. It was easier for him to get a new ship rather than make repairs.
It was an old XS Stock Light Freighter that was traded many years ago for a newer ship by some smuggler from Coruscant.
Working now on dismantling the engine to find the problematic pieces, there was a burn out somewhere, the old acrid smell says that much.
I had purchased it only a few days ago at a very cheap price. I had it delivered at not so much of a cheap price but good all the same.
The freighter was about to be junked but not before it was gutted of all electronics and components.It's engines and hyperdrive inoperable
With a lot of effort, I turned it into my private garage to toy around with many inventions and my main project of rebuilding a freighter.
Our salaries are decent, a result of our communal democracy so to say. With my share, I had saved up enough, and bought an old warehouse.
It is almost quitting time, I am anxious to get back to my private garage and get started on my project. As well as check inventory.
It is evening on our asteroid that we call Nickel One, one of the largest of the Belt. Our hive is busy at work, producing parts
