As a child, I grew up without TV/PC. Low income household. Mother used to bring books from school library for me to pass time. I grew up on Jack London, Melville, King, Twain, Hemingway, Howard, Faulkner, Poe, Lovecraft, McCarthy, McCammon... Americana colored my dull life.
Why is America so desirable for so many Indians? Mujhe to hamesha se Europe hi zaada interesting lagta tha. America is kind of shallow, while Europe has style and class.
