At long last, my first non-MapChart map! In 2022, Evers overperformed almost every Democratic assembly candidate, with his biggest overperformances coming from eastern rural districts, Green Bay suburbs, and district 1.
After a lot of research and time I have finished the map everyone has been waiting for. The 1878 Congressional Elections in Wisconsin by municipality. All 8 incumbents were re-elected although the 3rd (SW) and 4th (MKE, Ozaukee, Wash) were each within a point.
A quick map comparing Wisconsin and Dane's turnout in this election to the 2024 presidential turnout in every state. Wisconsin as a whole had a higher turnout than 9 states and Dane was higher in an additional 13 states.
Listening to the Split Ticket Wisconsin space and the pronunciations are killing me. Hearing "Wau-kesh-uh" and "Ew Claire" is so cursed.
Does Susan Crawford carry Crawford county in tomorrow's supreme court election?

Among counties over 95% white, Kamala Harris did best in Wisconsin's Vernon Co. Located in the heart of the quirky Driftless Area, it's a veritable potpourri of artsy back-to-the-landers, family farmers and co-ops, a strong Norwegian presence & even a fast-growing Amish section.
It is finished! This is a map of how every municipality in the WOW Counties voted in the 2024 presidential election. Kamala Harris clearly gained ground this year. After all, she is the first Democrat to win a municipality in Waukesha County in decades.
Here are the same results but for State Senate districts. Harris won 18/33, despite losing statewide. The tipping point district was the 17th, where Harris won 1.3%. However, there were 4 districts Harris won by <2 and 6 by less than 3, so it's not a big advantage for Dems
Here are the initial presidential results by Assembly district in Wisconsin. Harris received the most votes in 49/99 districts. The tipping point district was the Wausau based 85th, which she lost by 0.6%, nearly the same as her 0.9% loss statewide.

I just got home, are Casey and Rosen still in this or are they toast?
It looks like I was dooming a bit too hard on the senate race last night. I guess I'm not completely wrong since I hedged, but it was definitely a tossup at the time.
Final thoughts before I go to bed: Trump is obviously favored to win Wisconsin. I think Hodve is favored to win, but I still wouldn't rule out Baldwin managing to hang on narrowly.

Early results from small towns in Waukesha are looking solid. Most are stagnant or experiencing leftward shift and Harris is leading in Elm Grove.
Assuming no changes to the number of seats, this is how many representatives each state/province would get if the US annexed Canada.
Wisconsin SD 14 will be the race to watch in the chamber this fall. The seat takes in Madison, the parts of Sauk and Columbia counties, and a bit of other turf. Biden would have won it by 4 points in 2020, and if Dems win it, they could win the chamber in 2026 #ElectionTwitter
How will uninstructed's share of the vote in Wisconsin compare to uncommitted in Michigan and Minnesota? (Uncommitted got 13.2% in MI and 18.8% in MN)
This actually looks really nice.
Today I present to you my highest effort map yet, the 2023 Wisconsin Supreme Court race by Municipality. Protasiewicz won by the largest margin that a dem-aligned candidate has since 2018, obliterating election denier and anti-choice former justice Dan Kelly.
Can't spell "Dan Kelly" without 2 L's!
For anyone tempted to believe Janet Protasiewicz is putting up historic numbers for a liberal judicial candidate in Wisconsin...we're pretty much watching a replay of Daniel Kelly's last defeat in April 2020.
