Don’t get lost in the world of online dating. Remember, even if you are looking for a hookup, swiping right is not consent. Feelings can change in the moment so always check in with someone before engaging in sexual activity. #WeChooseConsent
Don’t let consent confuse you. It’s a simple statement that we can all do, we just need to practice it! Keep these words in the back of your mind when thinking about consent, asking or receiving it. Let’s normalize the conversation 🤩 #consent #WeChooseConsent
YOU have the opportunity to use your voice during the review of WMU’s Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy. This is a great time to educate yourself and provide input on what you feel will help benefit the wellbeing of our campus. It’s time to be apart of the change.
⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ We want you to remember, difficult situations can arise and happen to anyone. It is okay not to know the answer to everything, but the most important thing you can do is listen. #WeChooseToListen #WeChoose #WMU #letsendsexualassault #listen
We are here to listen and support you. Remember, it is okay to ask for help. Check out these resources that are available for you or someone in need. #WeChoose #WeChooseToListen #Support
Listening to someone who speaks out about their experiences is one of the most important things you can do. This is the type of support that is welcomed during these times. Take a step back and listen. #WeChooseToListen #Listen #Support #WMU
The first step is believing the survivor. Although it may be difficult to hear someone’s story, react with compassion and a calm response. They have gone through enough emotions, comfort them. Listen to them. #WeChooseToListen #WeChoose #Believe #listen #support
Reporting sexual misconduct allows the University to provide safety measures, accommodation and resources and to understand how the person harmed wants the University to proceed. Please refer any WMU victims/survivors to the resources below. We're here to help.
