If I owned a pub in Manchester or Liverpool, and was reading reports quoting anonymous sources saying I'll have to shut down again, I would be furious. They say they haven't made any decisions, so stop briefing the press. It's not a game, treat people with more respect.
People have spent whole lives building their pubs, restaurants and cafes to where they are now. They aren't just brick and mortar, it means so much more than that. It's desperately sad and we shouldn't forget the positive impact these places have on the community.

It makes no sense that I can soon meet my family in a car showroom or a garden centre, but us sitting apart in the garden is banned. That has no scientific or logical basis. The Government are pleading with us to show some common sense - it needs to work both ways.
