In the 1st world we don't have to do our own fishing to get a meal though - thank God. Thank God for trawlers as destructive as they are.
Fish seem to be the only wild 'creature' that is still hunted like it used to be though the nets and lines are much bigger/longer now.
On that note, thank God for farms! They make the process so much easier.
I don't know if America could support more than 50,000,000 people spread out over the entire landmass if we had to.
Can you imagine if we still had to hunt to eat? Like every meal was in part made from animals hunted in the wild?
