“After I spoke out publicly the steep reprisals and threats for being a whistleblower began,” says Dr. Mark Russell, "I heard from others that my C.O. had said, “If Russell keeps this up he’ll be leaving this base behind bars or in a body bag.”
Dr. Mark Russell, a retired Navy Commander and Military mental health whistleblower, is out of uniform yet continues to advocate for mental health policy reform in the Military, “It’s our duty to help those who put everything on the line for their country.”
