You can't make this up. The Department of Education estimates it will cost $99,900,900 to operate the application for student debt cancelation. They would literally rather spend $100M on means-testing than just canceling the debt automatically.
White people often get really offended by being called white or settler. They say it's racist because for white people racism is about hurt feelings. Being excluded. For Black and Indigenous people it is about dying. Big difference.
It's remarkable that billionaires have persuaded so many people that they "create jobs" and "generate wealth," as if some kind of gift to poor people, when the most elementary reality of the economy is that wealth is always generated by poor people's labor.
