Writing the check for underrepresented founders is literally how you can help. It is seriously that straightforward.

It's Women's History Month and I've had 4 separate discussions this past week with women founders in our community who are on the edge of burning out due to exhaustion and frustration with the fundraising process. Instead of asking how you can help write the fucking check.

honored to be part of the Bling family--huge congrats to @bling0 and the crew on the new fund!

Glad for @AcrewCapital to announce $700MM of new capital across our family of funds. My partners & I reflect on the past five years of building the firm. Appreciate our LPs & team. The firm gets to continue backing world-class founders in: 🥼Health 💳Fintech 🛜Data & Security

IYKYK. @bling0 and the Bling Cap team are so freaking value add that it's almost malpractice to start a co and not have them as one of your investors (...if you're lucky enough to get thru diligence w Ben😂) Congrats Ben!!

Honored to be part of the 2024 Forbes Midas Seed List. Thanks to the @blingcapital team and the Bling Capital Product Council, our LPs, and also our CEOs for the opportunity! ♥️ forbes.com/lists/midas-se…

Great thread

I thought this was a really good thread comparing Rippling's original investor memo from our series A, vs the latest version today.

NYC 📈📈📈

Now that NYC has earthquakes too there's truly no reason to be in SF anymore

Most people are wrongly interpreting this as mutually exclusive to being able to build a killer product, find PMF, sell, etc. AKA, normal pre seed founder stuff. If you can’t do all of the above AND explain the logic behind your (wip) fin model, you’ve got way bigger problems.

Financial models are back! For years founders rolled their eyes when I asked them to take me thru the model…. ‘I mean we have one, but we are pre-seed so it doesn’t mean anything’ Yikes noooo.

“Being an entrepreneur is like getting punched in the face over and over again. Eventually you start to like the taste of your own blood.”

Marc Andreessen: Every successful innovator “eventually starts to like the taste of their own blood” “Once something works, the stories get retconned and adapted to say ‘it was inevitable all along’, ‘everybody always knew this was a good idea’. The person has won all these…

God bless nyc Fwiw I’m also here to meet as many dogs as I can

Coming up on three years in New York City. Here's what stands out the most:

Such an awesome thread, and such an AWESOME brand!

How to turn $4,000 into $100,000,000+ 💸 They couldn't get a single investor to take them seriously... That's when 4 friends decided to each invest $4,000 of their own savings to launch Chubbies. (a 🧵 for DTC founders 👇)

you are listening to the new blink 182 album for the 17th time today and about to play the new mario with your friends who brought over mountain dew. you ordered dominos with a discount code your mom gave you, $10/pizza. the year is 2023, and you are 38 years old. life is good

Completely agree

Have been an avid @theallinpod listener, but the constant “anti-woke” discussions are making it so political and one sided, which goes against what made it so great with a diversity of views - liberal, moderate and conservative I appreciated hearing those varying perspectives,…

Can relate. I brought home a B+ on a history test as a kid. My mom drove me back to school and made me take the alternate version of the test. Also always had to study next year’s math and read a ton of books every summer.

Every successful person I have ever met was committed to homework (or the equivalent( by their parents *extraordinarily early* in their life. My Mom taught my algebra in third grade and insisted I read every night in addition to all of the assigned work.

V interesting (hot) take…

Had a nice chat with a practising clinician who predicted the following: In the coming years, Cerner will lose most (if not all) of its market share to Epic for 2 reasons: 1) Systems will organize around 1 EHR to solve interop 2) Epic is 2 steps ahead in terms of innovation

At least once a month, someone actually starts their email to me with: “Dear Sashi” Bruh… come ON 😭

"It was great to meet you at [conference I didn't attend]. Would love to schedule a time..." :)

Crazy, busy, amazing September. Will share highlights in these final few days of the month. One great one: hanging w some of my favorite investors and chatting w some brilliant folks @ the nyc summit. Biggest takeaway: never been a better time to build.

Fwiw I love seeing ratatouille on my morning jaunts 🐭

When New Yorkers dunk on SF, I point out how the sidewalks of NYC are lined with mountains of smelly, leaky trash bags. Mazel tov on discovering trash cans. But seriously, great update for a great city!!
