Went back to Godot 3.5 to make a side project that runs in the browser. And maybe as a mobile app if I can keep the performance decent.

Godot is already bigger than you might think. There are a bunch of companies with millions in funding based on Godot. W4, Ramatak, Padho Labs, The Mirror... At GDQuest, we are 16 now (12 on payroll, 4 freelance). Entirely self-funded, just doing education and open-source.
