This is #Oulu, a cycling city with more than 950km well maintained cycling paths. We have also more than 350km well maintained skiing paths and many of them are easily accessible by bike. Hence it’s only natural that people living in the city center goes skiing by bike🤗🚲🎿

Good news, we have a new pedestrian and cycle route across town. Bad news, what on earth is this?

Yes...and more mind blowing the bike-rack is hidden away far away from the entrance... such an embarrassment to have a cyclist as a customer:-(

Four Strong Winds... lifetime favourite #RIP Ian Tyson

Another big loss today. Country folk icon Ian Tyson. Here is the story behind his classic hit "Four Strong Winds" in his own words.

Let's make this a Canadian idea...rebate off an e-bike.

This year 4,726 Denver residents received a $400 rebate off an e-bike or a $900 off an e-cargo bike (low-income residents can get more). According to a city survey, recipients say their new e-bike/e-cargo bike is replacing 3.4 car trips per week(!). washingtonpost.com/transportation…

Periodic reminder that building bicycle lanes is not a technical challenge. It is a political one!

Land meant to grow food and feed Canadians is more precious than gold. Building homes on the #GreenBelt is based on political favours not common sense. No country can be rich & feed itself if it gives its most valuable land for agrifood to developers. The definition of greed.

Can't complain about my childhood... in-spite of the social pressures to own a car the bicycle has always been a central theme in my life...still riding in my 7th decade. Love it!

Childhood used to mean adventure, healthy activity, autonomy. In North America, Australia, and the UK, they've been engineered out of our lives so that grown-ups can keep driving their cars.
