Open source community Mixamo alternative Mesh2Motion is getting support for driving character movement with "root motion" In your games, you can use that to drive the character movement exactly like how your animators designed it. Godot also supports this feature.
Just finished coding the support for animations to have root motion. Good for uneven movement. This will be in the next release for Mesh2Motion. They will have "RM" at the end of the animation name.

Fun fact. The mechanic of this infinite wedding dine room is inspired by retro game. The world scrolling can technically be done with GameObject and object pooling, but I think instanced rendering will be better for the performance. 🧵 #gamedev #devlog #madewithunity #IndieGame
