There is no argument for the #Dodgers being "good" for baseball. Including deferred payments, they currently have $2.11 BILLION of guaranteed salary committed to the 2026 roster. That is more than the NET WORTH of about a dozen MLB owners. Those teams have no chance.

Since @JeffPassan posted this in September 2012, the Dodgers have won 12 of 14 division titles, been to 5 World Series - winning 3, and are arguably now the most powerful ballclub in the history of baseball. An absolutely incredible turnaround.
It takes a lot to make a franchise irreparable. Fans still come out to Royals games. But what McCourt has done to the Dodgers is damn close.
