Anyone seen the Book of Mormon musical since they left? I've heard it was funny but I've been mentally against it for so long it's hard to even consider the possibility of watching it.
I remember thinking "exmos should just leave and not be so hateful," but then I remembered I was taught to think about the church and ~talk about the church whenever I could 🤷
Oh no I just saw some historical books my husband was really interested in (though he hasn't read yet) are by Timothy Ballard 😱

There's so much I dislike about church but for now I still feel a sense of instant community, even in a new place, that makes it hard for me to let go. (Even if it's bittersweet bc I know many are excluded from that community 😭)
Wait, is it a church policy to ask an "active" member to backpay tithing?? Not like, fresh start, do your best, but "now you need to make up for what you missed"?
Husband wants to buy an expensive thing (and we are going to!) and as I looked over the budget to make sure it was all clear, I realized our tithing could pay for 3/4 of that expense 🥲 so glad we can give it to the church instead so they can build a hotel.
I don't understand why we need to care so much more about the things of God than the things of the world - isn't this the world created for us by God to help us learn? So shouldn't we care what's going on? (I mean, now I understand it's a control tactic 😭)
