I've been learning more about unity programming design patterns lately! Today I tried applying some patterns I learned to the card game I'm working on. I refactored the code to use the State Pattern & the MVP Pattern and it feels a lot cleaner/organized ✨
Today I started playing around with DOtween to create some card animations ✨♣️!
Lately, I've really been enjoying games lately like Inscryption & Slay the Spire! It has piqued my interest in creating card games. Right now I'm just trying to create a game of crazy eights to get a feel for implementing a basic card game ♣️
Day 99 of #100DaysOfGameDev Continued working on the tutorial level for my conveyor cafe game! Also, started experimenting with using different cursors in-game. Not sure if I want to use them in the final product, but it's been fun to play with :)
Visiting family this weekend for easter weekend so pausing game dev again for these next couple of days!
Day 98 of #100DaysOfGameDev Today I started working on the tutorial level for my game. Trying to find the best way to approach it to not bombard the player with too much text and try to use visual cues when possible 🙂
Day 97 of #100DaysOfGameDev For my conveyor cafe game, I added a limit to the # of orders at a time based on the difficulty selected, to keep it from getting too chaotic! I'm also still learning about programming design patterns which has been really interesting/helpful so far :)
Day 96 of #100DaysOfGameDev I dived back into learning about programming design patterns. Today I learned how the Observer pattern can be used through UnityEvents!
Thought I was finished with my jam game but I couldn't sleep and got a burst of motivation to implement different difficulty levels to my game last minute🥴 Added Easy, Normal, and Hard mode. Basically just modifies the customer spawn rate (slower for easy and faster for hard)

Day 94 of #100DaysOfGameDev Wrapping up a few things for my b&w jam game today. Got 2 levels right now but might see if I can come up with a couple more interesting levels tomorrow!
Day 93 of #100DaysOfGameDev I spent a lot of time testing and making modifications. I'm really indecisive sometimes so I was really back and forth about a lot of things today 😅 I do think I got it to a point I'm happy with and I'm going to spend tomorrow creating new levels 🙂
Day 92 of #100DaysOfGameDev Today I just added little animations to some elements & created some screens for the menu !
Day 91 of #100DaysOfGameDev Today I fixed some bugs, created a level manager, and added a level complete ui for my jam game 🐛⛳️
Day 90 of #100DaysOfGameDev Didn't have too much time today but I added some new food sprites to the game for coffee, croissants, donuts, sandwiches, and cookies!
Day 89 of #100DaysOfGameDev Spent some time fixing bugs today and working on the conveyor placement system. I think it's almost ready but I need to test it a bit more. Afterward, I'm going to focus on creating new sprites for the game👾
