Figured I'd just keep updating showoff.barelyhuman.dev instead of trying to segregate repositories in github accounts for my own sanity.

anyone in my network hiring for a Senior Frontend Developer with 10 years of experience? preferably in Mumbai, India or Remote, do let me know. I have a friend who's looking for better opportunities

I am looking for a full-time job. Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me. If you know of a staff TypeScript+web developer role, let me know! 🙂

reminiscing the time where success for what I built was having just 1 user and being okay with it if that user was me.

Here's a toy app using @preactjs + signals and @nitrojsdev (to avoid the browser's CORS error) It's an example on one of the ways you can use signals and how most of the App logic can be changed to just listening to values as compared to dealing with hooks 1/n

might get some time this weekend and not waste it resting. might build something for fun

when people with 10k + followers don't get any response, why do i keep thinking that i will...

things have been linear with the stars number as well. so good to see the actual usage number and growth is double the stars number, which i guess is the definition of something being "underrated".

the estimation is that ~2600 projects are using pkg.pr.new in their gh workflows directly (e.g. npx) and 515 projects are using the installed version. this means nearly 3200 projects are using the tool which is an outstanding number for a ci tool targeting…

The image that preact is just a tinier react has to change and I'm not sure how much effort it'll take to make that happen. There also needs to be some way to make signals the entry point for it as compared to hooks. Open to ideas

And you don't even need to compromise on the user experience. With stuff like Coolify.io or devpu.sh, you get something pretty close to what Vercel offers, on your own Hetzner box... for free.

Launching a product tomorrow. Wish me luck and please, dear AWS and Vercel, stay strong. 🙏💻

tried getting a grant, didn't work out probably need a more complicated service to convince people

Was cleaning up folders and found a POC of creating different go version builders for goblin.run which I think I discarded because it'd be expensive to run by myself. I should look for grants that handle server costs, should help grow the builder a bit
