Hi Kelly and Mark. Please don’t claim to be an ordained minister because you went online and got some bogus title. Those of us who have studied for 7 years and then gone through an additional 2 years of a call process are REAL ordained pastors

Waiting in the window for our return.Always ready to forgive. It’s impossible for us to understand the depth of God’s love for us.We simply don’t love like God does. But love IS what God is all about.Ask for forgiveness for ANYTHING you have done. You will find grace upon grace.

He practiced it, memorized it and sweated it until his arrival home. Then the repentant son began to give his speech but the father grabbed him in a bear hug, kissed him and threw a grand party. This is our God. #UMC #prodigalson #takeitback

Today rock bottom might be described as addiction, abuse of another, abuse of self, let your imagination run wild! The lost son had enough and had to go home. So the lost son composed a repentant speech to offer his father on his return. #prodigalson #umc

Except, instead of concentrating on the wayward son, the parable is meant to describe God’s abundant love for us and the joy God has when we return to God. The lost, wayward son spent all his money in dissolute (immoral, loose) living. He hit rock bottom.#help #UMC

Haven’t we all been attracted to the BIG lights at one time or another? Haven’t we all wished we were someplace else? Haven’t we all wondered if life is better on the other side of the street? That is the story of the prodigal son. #takeitback #prodigalson

Jesus saw and continues to see the hurt, the despair, the rootlessness of us all. Because of Jesus, we have hope that one day, when we center our lives on Christ, we will walk confidently into our future, whatever that future brings. We are free to love and be loved. #LENT #UMC

They buddied up with Herod Antipas and made arrangements to get rid of him. And yet Jesus continued. Why? Because Jesus loves us. Jesus saw and continues to see the hurt, the despair, the rootlessness of us all. #JESUSLOVESUS #LENT #HINCKLEY

As we continue our walk deeper into the season of Lent, we read and learn more about Jesus’ determination to follow his call. The Pharisees tried to trip him up at every opportunity. They questioned his ethics, his works and his relationship with God. #JESUS #LENT #UMC

Maybe the problem is we are too hard on ourselves and so we are too hard on each other.Let’s let God do God’s work.Let’s allow God to forgive us and in so doing let us forgive one another. But wait!Let’s go even farther and allow God to love us so we may love each other. #UMC

In Matthew 22 Jesus is asked which is the greatest commandment and he responded that we are to love God with all our heart, soul and strength. But the second is to love each other as we love ourselves. #LOVEEACHOTHER #UMC

Can we agree to disagree on the details in the Bible so that all may all find Jesus in our own way, confess our sins as we understand sin, and live in harmony with one another as Jesus has prescribed? #UMC #STOPHATRED

Do we glow with faith? Or do we hide our love of God? Is our lives the same whether we are stepping into a church or stepping into the grocery? Are we as the Christian community, judgmental and hypocritical? #UMC #HINCKLEY

Sad day for the United Methodist Church@gcumc CHurch.ad

Open the lines of communication and hear God speak. #UMC #Hinckley #BrookPark

God sits on the ash heap of our lives waiting to offer comfort, compassion, forgiveness and love. Waiting to listen to us. God is always with us. We are the ones who shut-out God.So go ahead, shout, cry, yell, complain, jump up and down. #itsnotfair #Hinckley

Or is God distant because we don’t call out to God. When we cry out to God, when we complain, when we bare our souls, we open communication with God. #UMC #Hinckley #BrookPark #itsnotfair

When we are in need we call out to God. But what about all the other times? Are we grateful everyday of our life? Do we speak to God in the good times? Or do we think we can fool God and become extremely grateful when we need something? #cantfoolgod #UMC #BrookPark #Hnckley

Job thought: “God must have been confused and picked the wrong man to punish!” If Job could speak to God, he could clear up the whole miserable mess. But Job couldn’t find God. Where did God go in his hour of need? #whereisGod #itsnotfair #UMC #BrookPark #Hinckley

And then Job lost it all including his health. Job’s wife irritated and at her wits end yelled at Job: “Curse God and die!” But Job was a faithful man. And Job was an innocent man. Job sought justice.#itsnotfair #UMC #BrookPark #Hinckley
