Newsom: You mean the last two years, more Floridians going to California than Californians going to Florida? That is going to be fun to fact check.

I just bought a 2lb bag of coffee because it was on offer. I already have plenty of coffee at home. Fifteen years on and I still ship like I’m in grad school

Is NVidia Merlin in the same space as pinecone and faiss? Hear quite a lot about the latter, but not much about the former.

The first blood panel was unremarkable, so [..] the team next used a new type of DNA sequencing to inspect the man's blood on the molecular level. Eventually, finding the bacteria's DNA led them to the diagnosis and treatment of an extremely rare disease. msn.com/en-us/health/m…

Really like the minto pyramid for structuring my writing. The further and further along I've gotten in my career, communicating effectively and succintly has become more important. Any document I write now - I try to write this way. untools.co/minto-pyramid

Github Copilot loves suggesting 'GCA_000001405.15' (hg38) as an assembly ID fixture when I'm writing regression tests. I suppose this is the assembly that appears most in the training data. Interestingly the lastest version is 40, rather than 15.

recently flew into SFO and i was the only person in arrivals with flowers in their hair total bullshit

One of my favourite OSX-specific bash commands is `trash`. Installed through homebrew, use it where ever I would use `rm`. Puts the arguments in the trash instead of removing them from the filesystem. Saved me a headache a few times.
