@blinkcursors

Python, finance & data.

Finding who are, accepting who you are is stage 1. Everything comes after this.

I have tried abstinence to get rid of my bad habits. Always relapsed. This year I am starting replacement technique. Let’s see.

Motivation leads to action. Discipline leads to iteration.

In 2022, I learned the python basics and for my org created some web apps using flask framework. In 2023 I will dive more into python libraries that deal with data. (Plus revision of math topics)

To get good at a skill. Practice. Practice. Practice. Consciously.

Hi 👋 I’m a Director of Engineering for Google, my org runs the infrastructure that powers Search, Gmail, YouTube, etc. I can absolutely guarantee you that we don’t do full rewrites of everything every few years.

I will be back to teaching corporate finance and valuation to the MBAs, and valuation to the undergraduates at NYU in Spring 2023. You need to be a Stern student to register and sit in the class, but you are welcome to take it virtually: bit.ly/3jnIfgh

Data structure is way to: store and organize(data) for(better): access, manipulation and computation

Two common characteristics of algorithmic problems. 1. They have many candidate solutions. Finding the "best" one is challenge. 2. They have practical applications.

Algorithm is computational steps to transform input to output.

Algorithms existed before computers. With computers we got more algorithms. Hence I am spending good amount of time learning about different algorithms.

Python caught my attention as programming language as it was easy to learn the basics and it is comparatively shorter journey from idea to prototype.
