Unlike the *other* Prime trivia fact, this is 100% true! Metroid Prime has a ton of fun names for Script Objects, for example: the first 3 Parasites you encounter in Frigate Orpheon (3rd room in) are named LARRY, CURLY, and MOE.
When you defeat the Plated Beetle boss in Metroid Prime 1, it activates a script object named "BUTT EXPLODER".
