One mistake is assuming they are decent. Successful perhaps, but the position is not the cause of evil; rather it reveals it.
It should be a case study -- what causes so many otherwise decent and successful people to choose evil when serving on the Penn State Board of Trustees? I've got many theories. But I don't really know.

I don’t think anything is dwindling. Cignetti was a long shot. Rhule just wasn’t a great candidate. If Drinkwitz/Brohm get new deals, then they’ll dwindle.
