The best quarterbacks in college football can play off schedule.. when your first read isn’t there or where coach tells you to throw it isn’t there you have to be able to go make a play with your next reads or legs.
I don’t know what the remedy is for Ewers. I don’t know if there is a remedy for Ewers. This might just be who he is. And if it is, it’s a damn shame because the rest of this team is good enough to win a National Title this season.

Look, I don’t know the actual progression on this mesh play, but I do know Silas Bolden is wide open for a 12 yard gain on 3rd & 6 and eyes never went that direction. A conversion should be expected by a 3rd year player. A sack is inexcusable.
