I finally have a live version of my #React-based Netflix clone. There's still plenty more work I could do on it, but I'm very proud of what I've achieved, have learned a lot, and feel I've come a long way as a dev. I also had fun with the content 😁 retrofix.netlify.app

I've learned a lot since getting my first role as a front-end dev. So, I figured it would be fun and educational to revisit and update some of my apps. Lately, I've been refactoring & improving my JS calculator 😀 mercenary-calculator.netlify.app github.com/caffeinated-pi…

I thought I finally understood useEffect and its use cases, but it seems not quite. Anyway, this is an excellent read as are some of the linked articles. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦Oh, and happy Canada day, eh! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 reddit.com/r/reactjs/comm… #react

I've just discovered @JoshWComeau's JavaScript Operator Lookup! A very cool and super useful app - Googling some of these operators when you don't know their name can be a real pain! #javascript #100DaysOfCode joshwcomeau.com/operator-looku…

Today I completed the @Scrimba Frontend Career Path. I'm very proud, happy and excited, and now looking to land my first role as a #React developer. Onwards and upwards!

Did you know people learn best when they learn the same material in different ways 🧠💡 @ASpittel Instead of just absorbing material, you also actually need to be using it to retain it! 🔗 scrimba.com/podcast/how-to…

Really good article from @JoshWComeau on how to organise your #ReactJS file structure. Some nice ideas for organising my next project 😁 joshwcomeau.com/react/file-str…

Is a hotdog a sandwich? I'd never even thought about it until I read @KevinJPowell's newsletter this morning 🤣🌭🌭🌭

I've written a beginner's guide to truthy and falsy values in #JavaScript. Hope it's useful! caffeinated-coder.hashnode.dev/understanding-… #100DaysOfCode

Day 41 of #100DaysOfCode React In #javascript, strings are pass-by-value, but Arrays are pass-by-reference. Use these methods to copy an array's value into a new array.

The Node Package manager, or npm, helps you work with the many packages you can use with Node. And you won't just want to install packages - sometimes you'll want to uninstall them, too. In this guide @Ksound22 shows you how to remove a package in npm. freecodecamp.org/news/npm-unins…

A nice surprise in my mailbox this weekend, my Hacktoberfest t-shirt finally arrived along with some stickers. Very cool! 😎 Hopefully, I can contribute to some more open source projects in the near future. #Hacktoberfest #hacktoberfest2021

Recursion is an important computer science concept that's notoriously hard to understand. But this course explains it with simple analogies. You'll learn about call stacks, the Fibonacci Sequence, linked lists, trees, graphs, search algorithms & more. freecodecamp.org/news/understan…

My solution for the last day of @scrimba's #JavaScriptmas. I managed to find time to do all 24 challenges, very happy about that. Plus it's been a great way to practice/refresh my JS skills & I've learned a few new things along the way. Merry Christmas! scrimba.com/scrim/co1a1476…
