apparently Google laid off their entire Python Foundations team, WTF! ( @SkyLi0n who is one of the pybind11 maintainers just informed me, asking what ways they can re-fund pybind11) The team seems to have done substantial work that seems critical for Google internally as well.…

Version 1.8.3 is out on the AppStore. It should fix iCloud access (finally?).

A new version of Carnets is out on the AppStore. It should improve iCloud access, saves files automatically when you go back and fixes a few bugs. It's 1.8.2 for Carnets, and 1.8.1 for Carnets-with-Scipy because the latter takes longer to get approved.

Carnets-with-Scipy v1.8.0 is finally out on the AppStore too. Enjoy Notebooks v7 along with scikit-learn on your iOS devices.

Carnets version 1.8.0 is out on the AppStore. The biggest change is the switch to Notebooks v7: better user interface, better on small screens, several issues with “rename” and “save as” are fixed. Many packages have been updated to their latest version.

And Carnets-with-Scipy also has a TestFlight version available with Notebooks v7: testflight.apple.com/join/yevwlUs1

The TestFlight version is getting more robust. I’lll keep testing, but I’m hoping for a nearby release.

The next version of Carnets is ready for testing. It’s the first version that include Notebooks v7, a big change in the internal workings and UX. I’m waiting for user feedback before release: testflight.apple.com/join/yevwlUs1

After 40 days under review, Carnets-with-scipy has a new version out! - qutip is back - plotly works (you'll have to install it with pip).

Version 1.7.8 is now out on the AppStore (Carnets only). A minor change: Carnets now works with plotly. You’ll still have to install plotly with “pip install plotly”.

The TestFlight version of Carnets is experimenting with a small change that allows compatibility with plotly on iPads (iPhones are not affected). It could have an impact on other packages that use touchscreen interaction,so please test.

Version 1.7.6 is out on the AppStore, it fixes the issues with touchscreen interaction in code cells that was introduced with version 1.7.4.

Version 1.7.5 is out on the AppStore, it fixes an issue with Pandas that was accidentally introduced with version 1.7.4.

Version 1.7.4 is out on the AppStore. The biggest change is invisible: we moved to Python 3.11 (from Python 3.9.8!). All user-installed packages should be kept in place. We also improved “Download as…” a lot.
