“Miss it’s 2024, why are you still wearing a mask?” Let’s address the mask on my face - here’s why *I personally* choose to keep wearing it. Hopefully this helps make the elephant in the room a bit smaller. 😊
Campbell looking particularly beautiful under tonight’s full Cold Moon as I left work. #CampbellCollege #PerksOfWorkingLate
A really interesting discussion about reading, information and democracy. Highly recommended listening! The Death of Reading, an episode of the BBC World Service’s The Global Story programme, on BBC Sounds. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3…

Happy December everyone. If you’re buying Christmas presents for young people this year, consider buying them a book. Recent UK studies suggest that 1 in 12 young people aged 5-18 don’t have a book of their own (1 in 8 for disadvantaged children). Let’s encourage reading 📚

Saturday plans on a drizzly afternoon. The Land in Winter is one of our current Parents’ Book Group titles (alongside The Safekeep), and we’ll be discussing it at our next meeting on 8th December.
Reading IS fun, especially when you get to decide the story yourself! The “Spin to Survive’ series from @wideeyeded blends fact & fiction in an adventure story where the reader is in charge, using a fortune spinner to help make decisions along the way - great fun for all ages!
Year 8 have decided it’s time to break out the winter-themed jigsaws… an ideal antidote to revising for next week’s exams. #schoollibrary #schoollibrarylife #communityjigsaw #mindfulactivities
International Men's Day. Guys, check in on your friends; if you need help, ask, and, importantly, remember the version of masculinity you're being sold online and by many politicians isn't masculinity, it's cruelty. Last, there's nothing unmasculine about protecting your health.
Marking International Men’s Day and Movember with a display of fact books to support your physical and mental health and wellbeing - across all aspects of life. #schoollibrary #nonfiction #nonfictionnovember #youmatter
