R3D46 of #100DaysOfCode Decided to play around with python a bit today. Trying to get a feel for it to see if it's something I want to invest more time into.

R3D45 of #100DaysOfCode Back from a needed break from coding/Twitter for the last week after going 250+ days straight. So a late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all! I'm excited for what 2019 has in store and achieving my goal of becoming a full time dev this year.

R3D41&&42 of #100DaysOfCode I had previously set up let's encrypt using certbot to serve a website over https directly in Node and that was a pain. However, now that I know how easy it is to set up certbot on an nginx reverse proxy, I hope to never do that again.

R3D38-40 of #100DaysOfCode been lost in the command line for the last couple days and forgot to tweet. Haven't been doing much actual coding, just learning how to properly set up my VPS and working to fix my newbie mistakes from when I originally set it up.

R3D37 of #100DaysOfCode Didn't have too much time today, but I spent it trying to fix issues on my VPS. I definitely need to get better working with linux command line and setting up a VPS is helping force that. However, the next project i host is probably going on Netlify.

R3D36 of #100DaysOfCode Spent the day fixing issues I found on my project when used in IE. Got it functional and most issues resolved, but the additional polyfill slowed down the build process a bit and I have a couple more minor issues to resolve.

R3D35 of #100DaysOfCode setting up a Node server on DO has been more difficult than expected. Really challenging my limited knowledge using Ubuntu. Struggled for a while today to figure out how to set up https with lets encrypt, but I got it working eventually.

R3D33&&34 of #100DaysOfCode didn't tweet yesterday as I was sick and too busy getting another year older. I listened to a podcast and read more about CSS options in React. Bought a domain, set up DNS, set up G Suite email and worked on portfolio. Pushing myself to get it done.

Being self-taught isn't easy, but you will learn the most important skill of a developer: Being self-sufficient and resourceful.

R3D32 of #100DaysOfCode Continued working with @gatsbyjs learning how to use markdown, source plugins, transformer plugins and graphql to create new static pages. Finished the main tutorial, but still have a lot more to get familiar with and look into.

R3D31 of #100DaysOfCode Learning more from the Gatsby tutorial than just building a Gatsby site. Looked into the different options for CSS in JS and CSS Modules. Read up a bit on progressive enhancement. Learned how to use plugins in Gatsby and looked at some available plugins.

I press tab hoping for autocomplete outside of my text editor more often than I wish to adm

R3D29&&30 of #100DaysOfCode I forgot to tweet yesterday, but I've been reviewing some of Node's core modules, setting up a simple server without using Express as practice. Also decided to start playing around with Gatsby, just working through the tutorial for now.

R3D28 of #100DaysOfCode Took a break from actual coding today besides 1 small refactor. Just spent some time listening to @syntaxfm and reading medium articles. Also, while r/ProgrammerHumor on reddit is good for a laugh, I always find myself learning something in the comments

R3D27 of #100DaysOfCode Starting to feel like I need a vacation to be able to code. Trying to do too much lately and it's a bit overwhelming at times, so I've been choosing to just focus on reviewing material.

R3D26 of #100DaysOfCode Just did minor CSS updates on a project before deciding to play around with Node for a while. Mostly just practiced reading files from folders, filtering files and opening them with their default application.

R3D25 of #100DaysOfCode Did some work with CSS today and updated some content for my site. Need to create some smaller versions of my project images to be served on smaller screen sizes though. Also, still reviewing OOP in JS.

R3D24 of #100DaysOfCode Struggled to get into my work after getting home today, but finally got focused and ended up staying up later than expected. Made some updates to the projects section for my portfolio and practiced using git to share/update resources between my devices.

R3D23 of #100DaysOfCode Still slowly reviewing OOP in JS and making minor updates to my projects. Hoping I'll find more time to code after I get back home tomorrow.
