hi everyone!! me and a bunch of friends are working on a SF ballot measure to get more funding for muni service and affordability by increasing taxes on ride-hail app companies. we're getting on the ballot by signatures–let's go!! ❤️ join us sftransitact.com @sftransitact

Mayor Daniel Lurie is in control of many things in San Francisco. But Market Street isn't one. Closing the street to cars in 2020 took majority votes at *two* city boards. So how did Waymo get onto Market last week, after a "welcome" from the mayor? missionlocal.org/2025/04/how-di…
It's so amazing what he's doing here. This isn't opening Market Street to cars. It's opening Market Street to exclusive private use by Google. He is so corrupt. There is no motivation in this beyond Google wanting something, and his maneuvering to give them a monopoly.
ATTN: OB #KIngleside blocked on Ocean at Brighton by a Waymo vehicle. Working to clear.
daniel lurie just oversaw transit cuts that will take three bus lines off of market street, and now he’s going to put waymos in their place. bro has been in office three months and is already a disaster
By welcoming Waymo to Market Street, we’re adding another safe and sustainable way to access shopping, theaters, hotels, and restaurants. This is about revitalizing downtown and making it easier for everyone, locals and visitors alike, to enjoy everything our city has to offer,…
Waymo should be taxed to fund public transit

If you want to play a fun game, ask people in the know to describe the fiscal state of Muni. You’ll get a sharp inhale. An “incredibly dire.” An “extremely concerning.” Maybe even a “clusterfuck” or two. sfstandard.com/2024/11/22/mun…
With Muni and other local transit systems facing huge budget shortfalls starting in the summer of 2026, local leaders and activists are trying to figure out how to close those gaps. sfexaminer.com/news/transit/m…

The agency’s fiscal outlook darkened in the past week with the failure of Proposition L, which would have taxed rideshare services to generate an estimated $25 million annually for transit. trib.al/Jxpp61i
As the eviction moratorium (which @DeanPreston helped extend) was being lifted, my mother in law, who was a house cleaner, was being kicked out of her long-time home. Dean had organized regular eviction clinics to help people + helped us get a lawyer.
in 2020 i emailed supervisor @DeanPreston (we had never met) about bus lines in our district that had been suspended. right away he got on a call with me, and became the strongest fighter on the board for restoring bus lines. he inspired me to get involved in local politics.

San Francisco, today is the last day to vote YES on L for critical Muni funding! Visit sfelections.gov for information on how to vote before polls close at 8pm. Let's go Fund the Bus!

🗳️ my key SF props: B: yes – has funding for street safety projects D: NO – billionaire power grab F: no – double pay for cops (up to $500k!!) G: yes – affordable housing K: YES! – parks > highways L: YESSSS – critical Muni funding M: LEAVE BLANK! – poison pill that kills prop L
Thanks to @MLNow for covering some of our wonderful volunteers who have never campaigned before! '“I can’t put into words how much this has made me feel like people can create change,” Morgan said.' Everyone is out here putting in the work to fund the bus! missionlocal.org/2024/11/meet-f…
TOMORROW! Thanks to @theLeagueSF for inviting us to hand out their guide and Yes on L lit at bars in the Inner Richmond! Sun, Nov 3, 6pm at Fizzee's on 3954 Geary.

Happy Halloween 🎃 👻 Here's a spooky story for you: Muni is facing service cuts as early as next year, which means longer waits for buses and trains, fewer hours of service, and whole lines cut 🪓 ‼️ Vote Yes on L to save up to twelve bus lines now!
