Trey Spruance said that it was Tchaikovsky that "pulled my head out..." This is the album that did the same for me. By 1996 I was into complex song structures, ancient instruments, and ultra-dynamic range recording. It's all this album's fault.

It's a damn shame that such an incredible comeback album, and one helluva intro to @john5guitarist, isn't available for everyone on streaming. Just had my first re-listen in a while and half of this album could easily make the list of DLR's best-written songs.
