Unreal has such a tendency to have multiple things trying to do very similar things but in a disjoint way. Many times they feel like they were developed in a vacuum by two different teams which is almost certainly the reality.
Literally nothing prepares you for life with children. Nothing.
This was an interesting effort to compete with Unity and Unreal, but it was always going to be hard to succeed. End of the road for another engine. gamesindustry.biz/our-machinery-โฆ
Well it was a great trip to Seattle. Got to see many friends. Pax was fun but still small compared to what it used to be. Was great seeing the indie and smaller titles getting a lot more love and tabletop is certainly back for Pax West. Until next trip my friendsโฆ

Stunning levanter cloud over the Rock of Gibraltar. When moist air is blown up and over the Rock, the air cools and condenses to form a cloud. This cap cloud can be sculpted by the shape of he Rock if conditions are just right. ๐ฅ via @MetOGibraltar

I have been running D&D 5E for my weekly game group for about 8 years now. We know the system well and have found what we like and what we donโt. Now we are giving Pathfinder 2E a try and I have to say, I love the skill and action mechanics. Customization is ๐ฅ. Nice work @paizo!
Donโt sleep on the game Tunic. Such a fantastic game heavily inspired by the original Zelda.
I never knew I needed a game where I can play a chosen lamb to lead a cult, but man do I need that in my life. Cult of the Lamb has stolen the spot as favorite game of 2022.
I have to say, I am thoroughly enjoying working with Unreal Engine 5. There are quirks that take getting used to, but the power and flexibility blueprints provide are pretty amazing.
I am happy to announce that I am making my way back to game development! My time is done in Mixed Reality (for now) and I am returning to Xbox at @TheInitiative to work on Perfect Dark! I will be working in the gameplay systems team and am excited to bring this game to life!
#GenCon2022 has come to a close and it was so wonderful to get back to a gaming convention again. Met some amazing people and discovered some new games to play. And now to sleepโฆ ๐ด๐ด๐ด #GenConIndy

I used to be a heavy console and PC gamer. It all started with the NES, Commodore 64 and a 286 Intel PC that all got upgraded over the years. 30 years later and becomin a parent means portable or no gaming. Thanks @NintendoAmerica and @OnDeck for keeping me gaming!
I have to say it is pretty surreal writing code that generates its own code to use at runtime. It's a bright future everyone!
