How good was the first drawing you ever made? Most consumable software is the first time that group of people has ever written that kind of app. Practice coding what you want to release because the first time you get it to work, its not going to be very good.

If your dev tools can warn you when a value that doesn't exist was referenced and you didn't have to run that branch of your program, you're building software with technology from at most 50 years ago. Somehow, new tools still come out that make me play the guessing game.

Job Interview Pro tip: When they ask you what questions you have, one of the best questions to ask is "What hesitations do you have about hiring me?" And when you hear the answer, address those hesitations head on as best as you can, ideally with examples.
