Every non-technical startup founder I meet asks "how much will it cost to build my app?". The answer I’m usually thinking in my head is “a lot”. The hope-filled answer is "not as much as you probably think" thanks to the explosion of No-Code options. I'll explain a little. 🧵
So, in the interest of offering hope and a way forward, I prefer to steer us into a more fruitful conversation and just ask them their budget and start from there.
I’ve built software with varying budgets and am the eternal optimist. So, I believe you can build anything on any budget if you get your priorities right.
No-Code tools can help you build but they can't give you advice on WHAT to build and WHEN to build it.
So my best advice to a new founder is get advice on your build priorities. The clues are hidden in your business model and (assuming you've launched a biz already) in your marketing signals.
One of the best places for getting sound advice from advisors is bootcamps, startup pre-accelerators, accelerators, and other founders.
If you want me to explain more of this advice to help you get started on your app with whatever budget you have, catch me on one of my weekly LIVE webinars. eventbrite.com/cc/mvp-app-wor…
