This is is NOT judgement but curiosity…why haven’t well known technologists left this site? Is it a strategy for staying informed? Is it sunk cost? I’m not going to lie it took a lot of work to build my lil following here but I’m not beyond letting it go.

It only takes five minutes to break the cycle. Five minutes of exercise and you are back on the path. Five minutes of writing and the manuscript is moving forward again. Five minutes of conversation and the relationship is restored. It doesn't take much to feel good again.
rich kids being able to do art for a living may be a reflection of their privilege but it seems to me like a reflection of the fact that a human that doesn't have to worry about money will often choose art. everyone is an artist until rent is due. i wish we all had that right :)

I don’t have the capacity to discuss this tonight but we’re missing a huge piece of this convo when we say “America wasn’t ready for a woman to be president.” The BLACK aspect of this is a complex layer that can not be understated. Ppl couldn’t fathom being led by a BLACK woman.
Do NOT donate money to any of these politicians. Over the next 4 years, there will be organizations and communities that need your funds and your time if you’re able to volunteer. They’ve got billionaire and millionaire backers, your neighbors don’t. Build on the ground.

As Malcolm X said, “The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman.” Black women deserve more than the hate and disregard we’re so often met with—we deserve respect, opportunity, and celebration. No matter how much we achieve or how hard we work, it’s never enough.
