From what I've heard, Physics is one of the hardest courses you can study in a university, but it has a lower cut-off mark... I guess cut-off mark is not solely based on the hardness of the course, but its competitiveness e.g 10,000 applicants for mec engr, < 100 for physics.
Best graduating student should be limited to departments only. You can only determine the best when everyone is tested on the same scale 🥲 All courses are hard, but some are harder. There's a reason why cut off marks exist
