Hi all 👋 I'm Prisha! Newly minted / aspiring web developer, currently working as a paralegal for almost 10 years. I've always been fascinated by the web, and coding, and I've decided to *finally* take the LEAP and see if I have what it takes 🙀 #CodeNewbie #100DaysOfCode

That feeling when your day job keeps you so busy… you can’t study web development 😢 Sorry I’ve been MIA fam! ❤️

❤️❤️

Holy moly, I just saw this, Prisha (sorry)! I'm glad we're in this together, too! 🤗🎉

Why should you learn JavaScript? It's the language of the web. Required on the frontend. Can be used on the backend. The only language that lets you build websites end to end. In 2019, it's virtually required knowledge.

Today's shout-out is going out to one of my close friends on here, Favor (@heyOnuoha)! No exaggeration, Favor puts out some of the best content I have ever seen on here! He's a great guy who will reach out in DMs, just to see how you're doing. A class act! Add him up! 🔥💯

Coding is a skill, you have to learn it and fail at it, and get frustrated over and over again. Just keep coding.

On Social Media, we like to share our successes, we want to look smart and cool. But what about failures? I go first: I failed my first JavaScript exam. Not my brightest day as a web developer But since then, I have taken JavaScript seriously. That failure tought me so much.

This is such important career advice in general!! Learning how to pivot, or even change careers (or niches within your field) can help get you where you want to be whether that’s financially or general job happiness ❤️ #CodeNewbie

Software engineering is such a broad field that you'll never be able to learn it all. What every newbie should do: - Search and pick a niche you like - Learn enough to become dangerous - Occasionally look right and left - Make a switch when your niche doesn't spark joy anymore

I love taking notes! My skill level rose as soon as I realized that just coding along to tutorials did nothing for my tiny lizard brain. 😅

My grandpa told me that before APIs existed, the postman would deliver fresh data to your house every morning.
