KitchenSync chrome extension to store recipes, create grocery lists compatible with Instacart, meal plan, and tells you dishes needed. Cooking made easy! 👨🍳
Day 7: My new project! Building KitchenSync, a Chrome extension that makes cooking easier: 🥣 Save clear recipes 🗓️ Plan meals 🛒 Auto-generate grocery lists 📱 Send recipes to yourself with QR codes Sign up → kitchensyncextension.com #mealplanner #recipes #cookingapp #cooking
Day 14: My mom always had a favorite cookbook. I thought it’d be cool to bring back the idea with a virtual recipe book that you can update yourself. #cooking #buildinginpublic #recipes
Day 13: Doing some UI brainstorming for my recipe extension. Just a mockup! But what do you think? I want to make something that stands out and is more involving with real page flipping components.
Day 12: What could be more fun for a recipe cooking extension than a recipe book UI! Still a glitchy work in progress for sure but its coming along.
What OpenAI’s doing with Atlas isn’t about beating Google. it’s about rethinking what “search” even means when the web can talk back. So interesting to see the markets they are venturing in.
With AI handling so much of product building, marketing becomes the new moat. It’s what separates a side project from a company.
Day 11: I’m thinking my recipe extension is finally due for a UI overhaul. Any advice?
QA engineers, Claude Code lets you drop a CLAUDE.md file in your repo it learns your test structure, naming conventions, and selectors automatically. AI isn’t replacing QA. It’s finally understanding it. #QA #Automation #Playwright #ClaudeCode #Testing
Fun fact: Approximately 90% of the code for Claude Code is written by Claude Code itself, the system was built to “build itself”.
I had been using Replit for a while and it worked great for a quick MVP check that could be done in a day but recently it’s been completely unusable with how expensive it is. Using Claude Code directly in vscode has been so much more rewarding :)
Having a great time coding new features with Claude Code. Generating an instacart full of groceries from any recipe at the click of a button 🥕
Day 10: As my product gets closer to completion I’m focusing more on marketing. Everything’s just a test so far. Still learning best way to market a recipe meal planning chrome extensions. Any advice? 😅 #buildinginpublic
We have more tools than ever to turn ideas into reality. Don’t chase money chase something you actually care about. You’ll fail, fix things, and fail again, but that’s how progress happens. Keep learning, keep shipping. The rest follows. #buildinpublic
Day 9: Big milestone for KitchenSync: Just submitted my demo to the Instacart team. Last step before getting production API access. Excited to bring seamless “Add to Instacart” grocery lists to life inside the KitchenSync extension 🥕 #chromeextension #recipes #recipeapp #cooking
Day: 8 Progress day 🚀 • Got accepted into the Instacart Developer Program • Applied for an Impact Marketplace acc • Got Instacart List API working in my dev environment Now waiting on reviews for Impact + production API access. Very productive day🥳 kitchensyncextension.com
Day 7: Kitchen Sync Chrome Extension Tech Stack: 🎨 Vanilla JS + Chrome APIs 🔐 Supabase Auth + PostgreSQL 📧 Vercel Functions + Resend Email 💳 Stripe payments 🔄 Custom Chrome Extension ↔️ Supabase sync #codinginpublic #chromeextension #claudecode #vercel
Day 7: I decided to take a break from my Monday.com plugin for automation. I still think its a great project and will get back to it later!
Day 6: Great progress, I fixed oauth issues, connected release readiness to my test runs, and set up bug linking from Monday.com board to my failed tests if they have a bug under their name. My dashboard looks like this so far: #qaautomation #cypress #qadashbaord
Day 5: I am hitting some 429 errors with Monday.com because I am sending too many redundant requests when I open a test run. Currently working on caching some of these values in order to avoid making multiple calls at once. #qaproject #qaautomation #mondaydotcom
Day 4: I pulled the bugs into the Dashboard using the groupID's and displayed the count of each group. I also added to the settings page which group bugs should be sent and which group is considered complete. Will be working on this feature tomorrow.
