idk if i can make this coherent but i feel like a lot of ui problems are really concurrency problems and a lot of the awkwardness of ui development is cuz you need good transactional semantics

the biggest failure of ESM is not that require was already enough, it is that it did not adopt the python syntax `from X import Y` that enables proper autocomplete
Developing offline-first apps is a breeze of fresh air. Everything is so snappy! And the engineering is just different; client-server had me spoiled.
the latest @netflix and @YouTube UI updates are great and feel great to me, I can't remember big UI updates like this not being an inconvenience, kudos.
Im not updating
learning Yjs was getting confusing so I just started making tests to prove my hipothesis.
I made a personal tracking app, because I couldn't find any that were focused on privacy and local first sync. The more I work on it, the more I realise why: an always online server storing plain text is so easy to work with both for the developer and for the convenience of use…
Love how in math, you can trace ideas to people, even in the modern day. Wish it were the same for CS, seems like a lot happens “field” wise, behind company names or crowd efforts. Seems like individual merits are in retreat in our field, as if technology just “happens” to…
We need types in CSS, its unmaintainable
Tailwind 3 -> 4 makes me regret using it over vanilla css.
I often think about this small trade off 😂 9 out of 10 times, I’d create a variable or array map My issue with child selector in CSS is that they often bite me back at some point (e.g., refactoring, overrides, etc), and in Tailwind is the repetitive selector, same with media…
If you're using Tailwind, don't sleep on child selectors. They clean up your styles and eliminate repetition. Vibe coding agents aren't smart enough to do this. (if you're using CSS, keep scrolling)
Once every year, Branded Types find a bug. Today was that day. Today was a good day.

Dear @x and @elonmusk , please focus the search bar after pressing the search icon while inside the search page, just like Apple Music does. Thanks 🙏
what is going on with @code latest update? the copilot autocomplete is making eveything 100x slower
hi @wesbos, i've been trying snake_case on my codebase and it reads so much better, but, i do not know where to draw the line with other cases, eveything in js ecosystem is camelCase, jsx comp names or props feel odd snake_cased for example.
Been playing a lot with High Res TimeStamps in js and floating point arithmetic is killing me (I know IEEE 754 is better but I still have to use expect.ToBeCloseTo 💀)
It finally happend after a decade i rm -rf the src folder of a project which contained a whole day of working changes thank @code SO MUCH for having "File History" and "Find Entry to Restore" 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Trying to make a simple web app to tap at the rhythm of a metronome. It doesn’t work on Safari or iOS at all.
