Halfway through a 71-hour Sherlock Holmes audiobook... The narrative, I must avow, is teeming with intellectual delights and profound ruminations 😅

Started sharing some notes on my wa channel, feel free to hop in whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va…

Looks like NFS Unbound's sound creators are strong contenders for the 'Worst Game Soundtrack Ever' award. A few minutes on the launch screen and it's headache city.

There's a bug on the Apple Dev Portal that's making my newly added M1 Max appear as an iPod, thereby blocking me from generating provisional profiles and building for the device. Curious whether this is a way to make me upgrade to a newer machine 🤔

Decision Boundary in the wild

Been sidelining SwiftUI for a while, I don't often do UI work and when I do, it's UIKit. But this year's WWDC makes me think it's time to change that. Just wrapped up 'Integrating SwiftUI into UIKit Apps' - it's a great way to dive in!

To celebrate the #WWDC23 season this year I'm doing a special offer on my book “Integrating SwiftUI into UIKit Apps” 🤩 The book is a detailed guide on gradually adopting SwiftUI in existing UIKit projects. You can find out more on my website: books.nilcoalescing.com/integrating-sw…

Annoying how company is so keen on a code copilot that frankly rather slowing down. Meanwhile, there's no intelligent support in sight to handle the everyday grind: compiling team updates, aggregating tasks, predicting timelines. Feels like we could be setting better priorities.

Did a candidate forget to mention "viewIsAppearing" while explaining the ViewController lifecycle? Well, solution's simple: Pack up, next please!

"Google replaced by AI", hmm, they actually introduced transformers 😃

Companies like Adobe, and Google, those who were at risk of being replaced by AI are taking action. Adobe released Adobe Firefly, Google is busy with Bard to avoid the same fate as Chegg. Let's see what the future holds.

It took me a whole 15 seconds to recognize Chris Lattner. Looks cool, but I'd prefer Swift syntax, though.

Mojo🔥 combines the usability of Python with the performance of C, unlocking unparalleled programmability of AI hardware and extensibility of AI models. Also, it's up to 35000x faster than Python 🤯 and … deploys 🏎

Tiny headsplosions everywhere, my eyes are begging for mercy. AI bros are even worse than crypto bros

Pity Swift for ML didn't fly, recalling Swift TensorFlow attempts. Playing with TabularData/CreateML and it feels much more convenient than Python alternatives. But I'm biased 😃

Quite a heavy read, like literally - the colored print makes it a no-go for carrying during commutes.

Seems like on June 6, I'll be adding "application:didEnterAugmentedRealityWithHeadsetOptions:" to my projects

If Apple announce a headset and a developer platform on June 5, there'll be a new gold rush. Few apps will be sustainable but some will succeed. There'll be highly valued businesses with origin in the headset. I wonder if it's worth dropping everything to focus on it for a while.
