If the OA article isn't fully discoverable & accessible (as open access) in the places that academics or students are searching for them then they won't be able find or use them - OA content is not inherently findable just because it's OA #DiscoverabilityMatters #MetadataMatters
Listening on a webinar, librarian just mentioned that 7% of the ILL articles requested are open access. I don't know what's going on but something is really broken if faculty don't see that the article they want is right there open for them.
