Random thoughts are endless...of losses, of getting out early, of skipping a trade, of jumping into an impulsive trade. They won't stop. Thus, trading is a commitment to letting random thoughts pass by and bringing the focus back to the plan. Over and over. Continually.
Think about what kind of strategy you want to trade, then research/backtest it, hone it (as you notice improvements that can be made over time), and practice it. That is now all you need to work on adhering to. Everything else is just noise.
