I forgot about the power of the sun on snow at 10k feet today. I was only outside for a few hours but my face is quite red. Oops.
If the parts kit is cohesive, it’s not a parts bin bike.
There are people on the Internets using the term "parts bin bike" wrong. If you collect a bunch of vintage parts, buy a vintage frame, and put it together, that is NOT a parts bin bike, and calling it one is an affront to anyone with a real parts bin bike.
Looks like forecasters got a little excited about this storm on Tuesday. I think Sunday/Monday’s forecasts got it pretty much right.
I don’t understand how Denver/Boulder plows work. I think one ran down my street last night shortly after snow began but as of now it’s completely untouched. Usually we get pretty good coverage.
Haven’t properly roasted my clutch in a while, but trying to street park at my house over 8” of icy snow plus the snowbank from the plow did the trick.
Some of the best snow driving conditions right now. The roads are still covered and packed, but not yet icy so the winter tires get amazing traction and I can make predictable slides when I want to.
This arctic front has it feeling like one of those apocalypse movies out there. On the bright side, it's looking super pleasant from the weekend on through at least the new year.
There is a fire on Sunshine Canyon 😢 And this is why Twitter has to survive. I can’t immediately think of a better way to get up-to-the-minute information from multiple sources on weather and other disasters.
