This is def the wisest way to use X. It’s hard because the attention metrics are tempting to us humans. Chemically even. Thought there is something very attractive about those of us who are simply doing the work and don’t need to gratification from our fellow chimp descendants.

The only way to use X (and live!) I learned from @howardlindzon many moons ago - just use it as your public canvas / notebook. If you are chasing clout / shares / likes / followers / monetization you will never be happy here.

Yes! It’s exactly like working with a colleague. At first you don’t know the extent to which you can trust their work. After you work with them for a while, you build an intuition for that.

I'm beginning to suspect that a key skill in working effectively with coding agents is developing an intuition for when you don't need to closely review every line of code they produce. This feels deeply uncomfortable!

There are so many people on X dot com that have mental health issues. And it is pretty funny to watch them interact with someone who doesn't have those issues. But it is sad that there are so many people that have those issues.
