Does anyone have recent experience with migrating from Spotify to Apple Music? Seems like there’s a lot of sketchy looking apps that may or may not work.
It's been a long time since I've gone through this process, and doubly long since I did it for something personal. Now for the tough part, marketing it! We'd love some advice/tips on what we should be doing, and how to get in touch with people about this project. We're all ears!
PSA for any frustrated and confused #iosdev folks: Looks like App Store Connect was updated to reject empty values for HealthKit Capabilities, which Xcode adds automatically when enabling HealthKit. Seems that just removing that value fixes the issue. See: developer.apple.com/forums/thread/…
🔎 Macs are notoriously difficult to use via CI, which is why build minutes are more expensive on CI services for macOS. Today, we compare virtualization via @VMWare, @veertu_labs, and Orka vs running bare metal machines on @awscloud or @MacStadium. pspdfkit.com/blog/2020/mana…
“When she asked Silbermann about why the board didn’t challenge them, she says he responded “I chose them.”” “the only way we get things done here is hiding things.” “what is your job anyway?” Pinterest sounds like a great place to work. medium.com/@francoise_932…
Did anyone see really good, satisfying answers to questions in the new developer forums from Apple employees? I haven't run across any so far, but admittedly haven't looked too hard. The stuff I did look at was largely unanswered, or just redirected to "File a feedback". #wwdc20
FB6929711: Offer public guidance if using AppKit API is allowed and in what way (AppKit Bundles, NSClassFromString...) for Mac App Store compliance We’ll never get a public answer to this, but I got private ones, and it's all one big political mess.
Anyone know if there will be a #wwdc20 session that covers the DCAppAttestService and updates to the DeviceCheck framework? developer.apple.com/documentation/…

The "Secure your app" session is a must watch. Incredible breakdown of how to build a threat model specific to your app, with clear, concrete examples of very common things that could be used as an attack vector on your app. Definitely don't skip it: developer.apple.com/videos/play/ww…
Of all the APIs I expected updates for, UIPageControl was just about the last... but there it is! Continuous interaction (scrubbing), custom page indicator images, and background styles. Looks like this was probably related to the WidgetKit? #WWDC20 #iOSdev
After yesterday's #WWDC20 I can finally show what I have been (frontend) developing for @Apple in the past months. 🤩 👇 developer.apple.com/documentation/… An interactive and accessible page to find and discover Apple's technologies that will help improve the developer experience. 😊
If I was a part of the documentation and/or developer relations team at Apple, I think I'd make it a P1 moving forward that no new APIs show up with the always helpful "No overview available" -- and no, I don't mean by not documenting them at all 😅 Not like they lack resources.
