Very excited to announce that we’re hiring for an AI-focused software engineering roles (both general SWE and ML-infra) at Blue Rose! This is a great chance to work with giant novel datasets and cutting edge ML/AI to help defeat Trump in 2026!
Pollster panel at Crooked Con featuring a lot of pleas to decisively break with Joe Biden. @carlosodio: “you got to break hard from the Biden years, because it broke the image of Democrats for many people.” @davidshor: “Voters see the Biden administration as a failure.”
David Shor: "[Zohran Mamdani] ran the most economically focused campaign of any politician that I can remember maybe since Barack Obama in 2012." #crookedcon2025

I finally read the Kosmos "AI Scientist" paper from FutureHouse. Here is a bit about what they did and what I think about it. > The general idea behind this paper, and others like it, is that science follows a series of steps and that much of these steps can be automated. Those…
The awesome power of listening to voters and centering what they care about
It's sort of an inspiring story about democracy that someone who was completely unknown one year ago can defeat the former governor by tapping into the number one issue facing Americans.
Zohran's relentless disciplined campaign was truly impressive - he brought every message and issue back to the cost of living and built a model for what bringing attention to a positive affordability message can look like Proud to have Blue Rose do ad testing for the Zohran IE!
.@ZohranKMamdani ran a phenomenal, authentic campaign focused on affordability. Blue Rose Research is proud to have partnered with @MiddleSeatCo on ad testing and to support their work in helping build the momentum for a more affordable New York. LFG 🌹 middleseat.co/case-study/zoh…

🗺️I mapped the first round of the 1995 French presidential election. Chirac narrowly qualified for the runoff against PS candidate Jospin, eliminating Prime Minister Édouard Balladur, their competition giving rise to an interesting geographical division of right-leaning vote ⬇️⬇️
A subtle warning to everyone that the Dutch right from PVV/FvD to VVD has 71 seats They had 75 seats last time That's barely a change despite everything So I wouldn't rule out these parties getting an absolute majority after new elections whenever these may be
Signs NYC is definancializing: • Share of workers in finance went from 12% in 1990 to 7.7% now • NYC only got 19k finance jobs out of 233k created in last five years • JPMorgan employs more in TX than NY • national share of college educated and millionaires has fallen
Interesting: New research from Blue Rose (that's David Shor's firm, so you are required to talk about it for three days straight) shows 76% have heard something about Trump's ballroom fiasco, so yes, this seems to be breaking through (see below):
Trump's ballroom fiasco looks even worse against backdrop of bad economic news: *layoffs mounting *food stamps expiring *health care premiums soaring *consumer sentiment sliding On the pod, @ENPancotti is great in explaining opportunity here for Dems: newrepublic.com/article/202445…
LKY love is stolen valor - Singapore owes its success to it’s founding Mizrahi Jewish socialist president
Plowing forced savings into a SWF would solve so many of our policy problems! Pretty cool that it was David Marshall who came up with it in Singapore instead of LKY.
Took me a while, but here is (I think for the first time) the 1982 Spanish Election mapped by municipality. The result was a landslide for the center-left opposition, the PSOE. Only 7 years after Franco's death, the result solidified the Spanish Transition to Democracy.
We're hiring! And we just added a job on my team, working at the intersection of AI and causal analysis for message testing. Please apply! job-boards.greenhouse.io/blueroseresear…

Found old Dutch census data and graphed religion in Amsterdam (1930). Catholics made up 22%, the various Reformed Churches were at 25%. Amsterdam also had the country's largest Jewish population, 9% of the city. Secularization was already starting, 35% had no religion.
