MD Anderson is certainly conventional in their approach - stuck in the “standard of care” approach where chemo is the first line of defense. I’d rather see them a bit more willing to experiment with new approaches, but they’re quite conventional in their thinking. (2/2)

Urachal cancer: after diagnosis in March, I carefully considered my options. Decided to work with MD Anderson in Houston @MDAndersonNews. While the jury remains out on how effective their plan(s) are… I’ll say they are professional and well-organized. (1/2)

Like some cancers, urachal cancer tends to develop silently and often isn’t found until it has spread. In my case, I was blessed. I had a kidney stone late February. During imaging, they found the tumor on or in my bladder. Biopsy confirmed the super rare urachal cancer.

The urine from your mother gets sent back to you via the umbilical cord, and then passes into the urachus and flows to your bladder. After birth the urachus isn’t used any more. In super rare cases (50-70 new cases a year), the urachus develops cancer. Such is my case (2/2).

Urachal cancer is very rare. The urachus is a structure from your navel to your bladder. When you’re being formed in your mother, her kidneys filter the blood and send the urine back to you, through the umbilical cord (1/2).

I’ve decided I’ll post periodically about my war with cancer. In March of this year (2025) I was diagnosed with urachal cancer. This is a very rare cancer. There are only 50-70 new cases a year in the US, so perhaps my experiences might be useful. Stay tuned for updates.

For Texas voters - there are 17 proposed constitutional amendments we need to vote on. When evaluating these, ask yourself this simple question: does this amendment restrict government, or expand government. Simple question. Vote accordingly.

Texas Prop 14 would transfer $3 billion of our tax dollars to a new dementia research institute in Texas. This is insanely stupid. It’s a pet project of Dan Patrick. No one asked for this. Instead, we wanted our ax dollars be refunded to us because of a massive surplus. Vote NO!

FSD 14.1.4 update: much better than 14.1.3 - but still suffers from hyperactive responses. If it assesses a potential threat, maybe a pedestrian, or even a puddle of water… it tends to slam the brakes on very hard. And yet at other times, it’s very tentative and unsure of itself

Strange FSD 14.1.3 behavior: 3 different days, FSD refuses to work. The self-driving button is greyed out. :9’e days works fine. Then it won’t work. It will also complain about adaptive headlights not working. Eventually it seems to reset itself and works again. Ideas?

See people on far right for sense of scale.

That would be hilarious!

ROGAN: “What Donald Trump should do is when he leaves the office, run for governor of California. Just take over California and fix it. It would be hilarious!”

Agathla Peak in Arizona, not far from Monument Valley. Agathla is a Navajo word meaning “much wool.” Apparently sheep would rub themselves on these rocks.

(3/3) - Strange random urgent braking - like it sees something that concerns it and it goes into very aggressive braking mode for about 1 second - then recovers. Scares the pax.
