I think it’s time for me to tell my full story. It might lose me some followers but so be it.
I hope you all realize how uncomfortable this makes me feel. I expected a few likes and a retweet or two. I am not...special. My goal was to inspire ONE person going through what I went through. I feel I deserved exactly what I got for the crime I committed. I am not a victim.
I don’t even claim to be a good person. That being said, I honestly appreciate all of YOUR words of encouragement. It’s all of you that inspire me. Maybe there is hope that the stigma of feloness can be overcome.
But I wonder how different it would be if I was not a white male. There are so many more people that are deserving of praise. Single mothers working two jobs and raising their kids, coding at night when the kids are asleep.
Minorities that aren’t being given a fair shake when it comes to employment. That’s who I think should be given a platform.
I’m super tired and it’s super late so I hope this last bit doesn’t make me sound like a jackass.
I want to thank all of you. You have all made this night something I will never forget and you were all right. I don’t think I lost many followers. 😜
Omg I have a story….and when people read this they may also unfollow me too 😬😱😳 When I was younger & being trafficked I went to jail 24 times for prostitution & then the 25th and last time for taking a broom & chasing my x-trafficker with it and hitting him and his precious…
I also got in deep trouble while drunk. Worst mistake of my life. So I feel what you went through and now trying to learn how to code at 49 years old and paraplegic. Great job man
I own a tiny business...and it’s in our mission to give people chances, and hopefully connect them to even better jobs in the future. We’re deep in debt, and the last few days I’ve thought about closing.Your thread reminds me I can’t close, that I need to push through. Thank you.
Man, I dont have a clue who you are, but you are my new-years inspiration.
I am one of the ONES, thank you for sharing your story. Wish you and your loved ones the best 🙏🏼
It takes courage to tell your story. You deserve the happiness you now have. As humans we make mistakes, sometimes huge ones. They don’t need to define us though. We are not our mistakes. I hope the year ahead brings much happiness for you and your family.
You AREN'T special, and neither are we. You may have been over-sentenced, but you committed a crime, were punished, and served your time. IN TURN, You are the engineer. The designer and machine, in one. You had failures because you are human, and successes because you fought.
Thank you for sharing Tim. I think I just got my inspiration not to give up. 🙂
You did more than inspire me. Thank you Denver

I have a feeling that your story will inspire m as my people. I'm happy you got your life back.
Hi Tim, I have a friend in Charlotte who just came out this year with a similar story. Amazing the similarities. He's a special friend now, much of his past kept him from close friendship. If you would like to connect with him, I'd love to introduce you two.
That's because alot of people are going through a lot and are silent about it. Thank you for opening up.
