I spend a lot of time on Twitter helping people as much as I can and I never ask for anything in return. Now it I need to ask for help. I quit a stable job a couple of months ago to work at a startup. I was told yesterday that the startup isn't able to pay me any longer.

UPDATE: I want to thank everyone truly from the bottom of my heart. I’m sorry if I didn’t get back to everyone. The response to this tweet was amazing. It came at a bad time since we were a couple of days away from our daughter’s birthday party.

Between the response to the tweet, family in town, planning and executing a birthday party, etc it has been a VERY stressful couple of weeks.

I hope that no one thought I was being ungrateful. There were probably 200 leads coming in per day and once I started interviewing at a few of them most of my day was spent either answering emails, filling out applications, or talking to people on the phone.

Some positions weren’t the right fit, “no I don’t know what a breadth first search is😂”, and some were great offers that would require a move or more travel than I am capable of.

I latched on to a particular position that was a great fit and was exactly what I was looking for. I’m going to make a new tweet announcing the offer I accepted but I wanted to thank everyone and let everyone know that I’ve found a job. Thank you.

Additionally in the spirit of “paying it forward” and helping the community I love so much I’m going to tweet a call for people looking for jobs. There were probably close to 1000 leads thrown my way and I want to pass those one so be on the lookout for that.
