One system I have to interact with (correctly!) flags any password with "password" in it with as unforgivably weak. So a1*bpassword - unusable. But it also flags "passwor" as "a little bit weak" - so a1*bpasswor is "good" but removing the final r makes it GREAT.
You’ve been around @Microsoft accounts, right? Limiting the max chars on your password is the worst.
