I've been telling my story of how we turned Bump into Google Photos to new YC founders at the start of each batch. I hope sharing it more broadly inspires even a few founders to go build the future for all the rest of us. Full video in the replies.

Teaching my kids that the answer to “is Opposite Day?” is always “No”. Parenting is sometimes very fun.
Chad knows.
The full stack wave is coming! $GOOG is going to be the most valuable company on earth within 2 years.
. @yolandaaacao and the Everest AI team have built a product that solves a burning pain point in a powerful way with a compelling wedge. Most importantly, they are proving real business value in a tangible way. Two thumbs up!
Another successful YC alum back to do it all again. Congrats @alvinsalehi_ and Greg!
Goldbridge (@trygoldbridge) is building Ramp for Real Estate. It's an all-in-one financial platform for real estate owners that can increase their property values by 20 percent in less than three months. Congrats on the launch, @alvinsalehi_ & Greg! ycombinator.com/launches/Oru-g…
And the official response from the city…
A humble request that we move this permanent mulch pile out of the sidewalk in Dolores Park, a jewel of SF. There is an entire Parks Dept gardening facility and staging area at the corner of 18th and Church. Can we please move it there? @DanielLurie @RafaelMandelman
I wish to see more novel beautiful apps for a billion people created — aren't those the most exciting ones to build? Think back when Twitter, Gmail, YouTube, and Spotify got started (2004–2006). Or WhatsApp, Instagram, Pinterest in the mobile era. All generational companies that…
They fixed the one-click mark-as-complete! (Still don't understand the color design choice on the left side tho)
Hey @googlecalendar Tasks colors are broken in dark mode on Chrome. Also, why'd you take away the ability to mark as complete in one click?! Craftsmanship and delight matters!

Another new category of AI startups: in highly entrenched industries where changing software tools and workflows is really hard, just build AI that can learn to operate the existing software like a superhuman. Lunavo is doing this for logistics.
Lunavo (@Lunavo_AI) is the AI assistant for trucking carriers. It handles the repetitive logistics work and flags exceptions before they become urgent. ycombinator.com/launches/Olx-l… Congrats on the launch, @NiclasHeun & Felix!
Sava is another great example of a startup going “full stack” and using AI to directly compete with an existing, enormous , dinosaur industry, rather than just sell software to it.
Sava (@savatrust) is building an Agentic Trust Company to modernize how $6.5T in U.S. trusts are administered. Driven by how painful it was to set up trusts for his family after selling his S12 company, @nimit is back at YC to build a better way.
Today, BillionToOne went public, becoming YC's 4th biotech IPO. As a company that quietly provides societally important infrastructure, BillionToOne is less well known than they deserve to be. Here is their story, from grad students to IPO. BillionToOne is the rare company…
When Oguzhan and David applied to YC, their idea was just a concept. Today, their company @BillionToOneInc (S17) is going public—their genetic test now helps screen 1 in 11 US babies, and their tech unlocks earlier detection from prenatal care to cancer. ycombinator.com/blog/billionto…
It’s crazy that B2B SaaS companies use more AI than our law enforcement and military. @grdysun & @thejustinoh dropped out of Stanford to change that.
Lakonia (@LakoniaTech) is an AI-powered command and control platform for law enforcement and the military. It transcribes radio communications, analyzes them, and then synthesizes information for commanders/dispatchers and operators to act on. ycombinator.com/launches/OkR-l… Congrats…
It’s not often you see the 1st, 2nd, and 10th employees of a startup leave to tackle a similar problem on a much bigger stage. Congrats on the launch!
Casey is building the infrastructure layer for insurance distribution - automating complex submissions so brokers spend less time on admin and more time with clients. ycombinator.com/launches/Oef-c… Congrats on the launch, @MaxThoelen, @pascalkueng, and @nicohaenggi!
